While you may have heard of baby blues and postpartum depression, research has shown that postpartum anxiety exists, too. Just like postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety symptoms start (shortness of breath, restlessness, poor focus, social avoidance, nausea, etc.) right after giving birth. If you think you suffer from postpartum anxiety, talk to your doctor about medication and/or therapy as treatment.
