The 5-5-5 Rule for Postpartum
Oriana Barger, a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and new mom, recently went viral on TikTok for encouraging new moms to follow the 5-5-5 Postpartum Rule. The 5-5-5 Postpartum Rule encourages moms to spend five days in bed, five days on the bed, and five days near the bed, with the main goal being to rest. While this isn’t possible for all, it does highlight how important rest is postpartum. However, before you decide to follow the rule, always talk with your doctor first.
