It takes work to get our babies on a schedule. We spend time carefully timing feedings and naps and then readjusting the schedule to help our little ones thrive in a routine that works best for them. It’s quite common though to see our little ones still sleeping when feeding time rolls around. Do we wake them? Do we let them sleep? Why does something so simple have to make us so anxious? The answer depends on the baby, though. Some nurses and lactation consultants share that as long as you have a healthy, full-term baby and feeding is going well, you can let your little one sleep. However, always talk to your healthcare provider to find the best routine for your little one.
